Welcome to the website of the Western Isles, Skye and Lochalsh LEADER+ Local Action Group.
The Local Action Group is responsible for the delivery of the EU LEADER+ programme in the Western Isles, Skye and Lochalsh. It will manage an annual LEADER+ budget of £600,000 per annum between 2003 and 2006.
The Group was established in 2001, having evolved out of the previous LEADER II Action Group.
It is a partnership between the public and private sectors in both the Western Isles and Skye and Lochalsh and brings together the local authorities, economic, language and environmental development bodies, with representatives of the voluntary sector and young people’s and women’s representatives.
